I read in time magizine that published by Nance Gibbs a article about women in the armed forces get rapped and 80 - 90% of raps go unreported because filing charges can be a career killer.

Hook

I look around and every thing I see remind me of the countless hours of back breaking work. Just so I can have something I can call my own; it may not be much. It gets me by the rusty tractors and old cows will do for now. I don't have to worry about if I'm gonna get paid or not on Fridays any more the unbelievable amount of hours of working on other farms. finally paid off I am self employed. The barn is the best thing on this property the wet summer is making a hard job to put up good feed. One tractor is stuck in the mud another is tore a part with parts around it.

Me In Ten Years

Where I see myself in ten years. I see myself owning my own farm or in a welding shop. How I get there I am renting a farm already and I plan on paying for it over time. I would pay for it over time between milk checks.

What I liked about this class was the interesting opinion pieces such as " gay marriage"" Topless coffee shop" & the books that we read such as Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451 those were some good books. Oh I liked acting out Twelfth Night
A book that was meaningful to me was "Animal Farm" because how I live on a farm I alway wonder what the animals would say. I alway knew the pigs would be the dominate speices.
One opinion piece stands out in my mind is the gay marriage it has come a long way since we talked about it in class. They the Supreme Court is thinking about making it so the majority votes. Now a Quote from  Peter Rosenstein, a veteran gay rights activist. "In the District, you don't put rights of a minority up to vote of a majority."
